After a short 15-minute walk, you will arrive at the train station to board the train toward Aguas Calientes. Before reaching Aguas Calientes, you will get off at Kilometer 104, where the hike officially begins.
From this point, you will walk approximately 12 km (7 miles), passing beautiful archaeological sites and lush landscapes along the original Inca Trail. The highlight of the day is arriving at the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you will enjoy your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu.
