Early in the morning, we will pick you up directly from your hotel in Cusco or Ollantaytambo to begin this unforgettable adventure. From Cusco, our private transport will take us through the Sacred Valley until we arrive at the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo. From here, we continue straight to the famous Inca Bridge, where we cross the Urubamba River — a breathtaking entrance into the heart of the Sacred Valley. At this point, our well-trained horses will be waiting for us, ready to begin the horseback riding experience. Before starting, we will prepare our daypacks with everything we need for the journey. Then, we ride up ancient trails surrounded by mountains, following the original Inca paths that lead us to the majestic Inti Punku – the Sun Gate, an impressive archaeological site that once served as a sacred entrance to the Inca world. This unique experience combines history, adventure, and stunning landscapes, making it the perfect way to explore Ollantaytambo, the Urubamba Valley, and the legacy of the Incas.

• Once we reach the legendary Inti Punku – the Sun Gate, you will have time to take amazing photos of the Sacred Valley, the snow-capped mountains, and the surrounding Inca landscapes. From this panoramic viewpoint, your professional guide will also share fascinating stories and historical information about the site, helping you connect with the rich Inca culture and the importance of the Sun Gate in ancient times. After exploring and enjoying this magical place, we will stop for a delicious picnic lunch prepared with local ingredients, while you relax and take in the breathtaking views.

  Following lunch, we begin our descent on foot for approximately 35 minutes. This part of the trail is a little too steep for the horses, but it’s the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and truly feel the energy of the Sacred Valley. Along the way, you will continue to discover incredible views, unique flora, and the authentic atmosphere of the Andes before reuniting with our horses for the return journey. This blend of horseback riding, short hiking, and cultural discovery makes this adventure a one-of-a-kind experience in Ollantaytambo and the Urubamba Valley

If you’re already in Ollantaytambo, we’ll meet you in town and then drive straight to the Inca Bridge, where we’ll cross the Urubamba River. There, our horses will be waiting for us. We’ll get our daypacks ready and begin the horseback adventure toward the Sun Gate, a beautiful and historic Inca site.

Roughly  will be 4 hours  to be at the sun gate by horse, from the begin,  this will be little by little up, but with beautiful view to sacred mountain call (wakay willka) or veronica mountain,  Going up by horse you can stop to get your photos to  Ollantaytambo valley also to machu picchu valley too.  along the way we can see local farmer,  farming field, also we can see urubamaba river at the botton of the valley. Along the road we can see the inca tombs, also the important place the inca quarry, why is called inca quarry, because here the incan people found the best material to biuld up ollantaytambo inca site. here you can find beautiful rocks, ready to go to ollantayatmbo, around this inca quarry we can see  incan biuldings before to get to sun gate,  sun gate in at top of the mountain from of the veronica  glacir mountain, Is like entrance to this sacred mountain. after enjoing this beautiful sun gate, we are going down to community cachiccata, where we can take our van to back to cusco city, from cachiccata to Ollantaytambo is abour 10 minutes, after that to cusco is abour 1/30 minutes to be in your hotel in cusco city. this tour by horse is so amazing with alot of histoy along the road,
